🛒 Ingredients

5 servings

5
  • 500 g dried tagliatelle nests
  • 400 g mozzarella, sliced
  • 400 g thick-cut cooked ham
  • 200 g cream cheese (such as Philadelphia)
  • 1 can (400 g) tomato sauce
  • 2 vegetable stock cubes
  • 1.2 liters water
  • Black pepper and dried basil to taste

Directions

  1. 1

Preheat oven to 180 °C (350 °F). Spread the tomato sauce evenly across the bottom of a deep baking dish.

  2. 2

Arrange the dry tagliatelle nests side by side over the sauce in a single layer.

  3. 3

Place a small spoonful of cream cheese into the center of each nest.

  4. 4

Cut the ham and mozzarella into thick strips and scatter them evenly over the pasta.

  5. 5

Bring the water to a boil and dissolve the stock cubes in it. Season with pepper and dried basil, then carefully pour over the pasta.

  6. 6

Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, until the pasta is cooked through and the top is golden and bubbling.

  7. 7

Rest for 5 minutes before serving.

💡 Chef's Tip

Cover the dish with foil for the first 20 minutes to trap steam, then uncover to brown the top. Swap the ham for smoked bacon lardons for a deeper, smokier flavor.
