8
  • 1 package no-boil lasagna sheets
  • 200 g (7 oz) sliced ham
  • 200 g (7 oz) cheese (emmental or mozzarella)
  • 1 head fresh broccoli
  • 1 can (200 ml) heavy cream
  • 250 ml (1 cup) milk
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Salt, pepper and seasoning to taste
  • 2 chicken bouillon cubes
  • Grated cheese for topping

Directions

  1. 1

    Preheat the oven to 180 °C (350 °F).

  2. 2

Break the broccoli into small florets and sauté in a pan with a drizzle of olive oil for 5 minutes until just tender. Set aside.

  3. 3

In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the seasoning and crumbled chicken bouillon cubes.

  4. 4

Pour in the milk and bring to a gentle simmer, stirring constantly for 4–5 minutes until you have a smooth, light sauce.

  5. 5

Stir the broccoli into the sauce, mix gently, then remove from heat.

  6. 6

Off the heat, fold in the heavy cream and season with salt and pepper to taste.

  7. 7

In a greased baking dish, layer lasagna sheets, broccoli sauce, ham and sliced cheese. Repeat until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of sauce.

  8. 8

    Top generously with grated cheese.

  9. 9

Bake for 30 minutes until golden and bubbling. Rest 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

💡 Chef's Tip

Blanch the broccoli for 2 minutes in salted boiling water before sautéing to keep it vibrant green and perfectly tender. Swap the ham for shredded rotisserie chicken for an easy variation.
