🛒 Ingredients

3 servings

3
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 packet fresh baker's yeast (42 g)
  • 1 small glass warm milk (about 150 ml)
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • About 500 g all-purpose flour (adjust as needed)

Directions

  1. 1

Dissolve the yeast in warm milk and let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.

  2. 2

Blend the egg, salt, sugar, melted butter, oil and milk-yeast mixture in a blender until smooth.

  3. 3

Transfer to a large bowl and gradually add the flour, mixing until a soft dough forms that no longer sticks to your hands.

  4. 4

Knead vigorously on a floured surface for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  5. 5

Shape into a ball, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm spot for about 1 hour 30 minutes.

  6. 6

Baker's tip: drop a small piece of dough into a glass of water — when it floats to the surface, the dough is ready.

  7. 7

Roll out the dough, spread your filling (cheese, ham, roasted vegetables…), roll into a log, let rise 20 more minutes, then bake until golden.

💡 Chef's Tip

Keep the filling cold so it does not deflate the dough. For extra richness, swap half the milk for heavy cream.
