  • 1 cup bulgur wheat
  • 1 large onion
  • 1.75 oz fresh parsley
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 pinch cinnamon
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1.75 oz pine nuts
  • Olive oil
  • Frying oil

    Soak the bulgur in hot water for 15 minutes, then drain and squeeze out excess moisture.

    Finely chop the onion, garlic, and parsley.

    Mix the ground beef, bulgur, onion, garlic, parsley, and spices together.

    Season with salt and pepper.

    Lightly dampen your hands and shape the mixture into oblong croquettes.

    Heat the frying oil to 338°F.

    Fry the kibbeh until golden brown (3-4 minutes).

💡 Chef's Tip

You can also bake them in the oven at 356°F for 25-30 minutes. Serve with fresh lemon and a tzatziki or yogurt-based sauce. Kibbeh can be prepared in advance and frozen.
