🛒 Ingredients

4 servings

4
  • 3/4 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder, sifted
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter

Directions

  1. 1

Combine the heavy cream, sifted cocoa powder, and sugar in a small saucepan over low heat.

  2. 2

Whisk constantly until the mixture is smooth and all the cocoa is fully dissolved, about 3–4 minutes.

  3. 3

Stir in the butter and vanilla extract, then continue to cook gently, stirring, until the glaze thickens to your desired consistency.

  4. 4

Remove from heat and immediately pour over your cake, spreading gently with a spatula if needed.

💡 Chef's Tip

For extra shine, stir in a tablespoon of corn syrup or honey. The glaze thickens as it cools, so pour it while warm for the best coverage.
