🛒 Ingredients

1 servings

1
  • 200 ml (¾ cup) heavy cream
  • 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 3 level tablespoons granulated sugar

Directions

  1. 1

Combine the heavy cream, cocoa powder, butter, and sugar in a small saucepan, whisking until fully incorporated.

  2. 2

Place over medium heat and stir constantly with a spatula until the mixture reaches a full boil.

  3. 3

Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 2–3 minutes, stirring continuously, until the glaze thickens to a loose, pourable consistency.

  4. 4

Once the glaze begins to pull away slightly from the bottom of the pan, remove from heat and pour immediately over your cake or serve warm over ice cream.

💡 Chef's Tip

For a deeper chocolate flavor, use high-quality dark unsweetened cocoa powder. Store leftovers in an airtight jar in the fridge for up to 5 days and reheat gently over a bain-marie.
