Directions
- 1
In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, melt the butter over medium-low heat. Pour in the condensed milk and gradually whisk in the milk powder, stirring constantly to keep the mixture smooth and lump-free.
- 2
Cook over medium heat, stirring without stopping, until the mixture thickens and pulls away cleanly from the sides and bottom of the pan, about 8–10 minutes.
- 3
Transfer to a lightly buttered plate and let cool at room temperature for 20–30 minutes, until firm enough to handle.
- 4
Lightly butter your hands to prevent sticking. Using a spoon, scoop small, even portions and roll them into smooth balls between your palms.
- 5
Roll each truffle in milk powder spread on a flat plate until evenly coated. Set in paper candy cups and refrigerate until ready to serve.
💡 Chef's Tip
Switch up the coating with shredded coconut, powdered sugar, or rainbow sprinkles for a festive twist. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
