Beef Stir-Fry with Mushrooms and Broccoli
A flavorful and quick Asian dish prepared in a wok. Tender beef is stir-fried with mushrooms and crisp broccoli, enhanced by a delicious soy-honey sauce.

- 10.5 oz Beef
- 7 oz Button Mushrooms
- 1 small Broccoli crown
- 1 medium Carrot
- 2 cloves Garlic
- 1 small piece Fresh Ginger
- 3 tbsp Soy Sauce
- 1 tbsp Sesame Oil
- 1 tsp Honey or Brown Sugar
- Sesame Seeds to taste
- Chives or Green Onion to taste

Blanch the broccoli in boiling salted water or steam for 2-3 minutes. It should remain green and crisp. Drain and set aside.

In a very hot skillet or wok, add a drizzle of oil and quickly sear the beef strips until golden brown. Remove and set aside.

In the same skillet, sauté the garlic and ginger, then add the mushrooms and carrot. Stir-fry until tender.

Return the beef to the skillet and add the broccoli. Pour in the soy sauce and honey, mix well, and let caramelize for 1 to 2 minutes.

Off the heat, add the sesame oil. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and chives.
💡 Chef's Tip
To keep the broccoli crisp, cook it only briefly. The beef should be thinly sliced to cook quickly. A wok is ideal, but a skillet also works.
