🛒 Ingredients

10 servings

10
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk (14 oz / 395 g)
  • 4 tablespoons sweetened chocolate powder (such as Nesquik)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 pinch of sea salt

Directions

  1. 1

Combine the condensed milk, chocolate powder, and butter in a medium heavy-bottomed saucepan. Stir well together before turning the heat to medium.

  2. 2

Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly with a wooden or silicone spatula for 10–15 minutes, until the mixture thickens and starts to pull away from the sides of the pan.

  3. 3

Remove from heat and pour immediately into a lightly buttered glass dish. Let cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour 30 minutes.

  4. 4

Serve chilled with a spoon. Top with chocolate sprinkles or a dusting of cocoa powder for a beautiful finish.

💡 Chef's Tip

Keep stirring the entire time — stopping even briefly can cause the bottom to scorch. Medium-low heat gives the creamiest, smoothest result.
