🛒 Ingredients

30 servings

30
  • 1 can (14 oz / 395 g) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder (or 7 tablespoons chocolate-flavored powder)
  • Chocolate sprinkles for coating
  • Pinch of fine salt

Directions

  1. 1

Combine the sweetened condensed milk, butter, and cocoa powder in a heavy-bottomed saucepan. Stir until smooth before placing over medium heat.

  2. 2

Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon, for 10–15 minutes until the mixture thickens and pulls cleanly away from the sides and bottom of the pan.

  3. 3

Transfer to a lightly buttered dish and let cool to room temperature. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes until firm enough to handle.

  4. 4

Lightly butter your palms to prevent sticking. Scoop out small portions and roll them into balls about ¾ inch (2 cm) in diameter.

  5. 5

Roll each ball generously in chocolate sprinkles until fully coated. Place in small paper cups and serve at room temperature.

💡 Chef's Tip

Switch up the coating with shredded coconut, crushed pistachios, rainbow sprinkles, or a dusting of cocoa powder. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
