🛒 Ingredients

8 servings

8
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 tablespoon margarine, softened
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • ½ can sweetened condensed milk (about 7 oz / 200 g)
  • ½ can heavy cream, drained (about 5 oz / 150 g)
  • 1 cup powdered milk (about 4 oz / 120 g)

Directions

  1. 1

Pour the condensed milk and drained cream into a mixing bowl. Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed for 3 to 4 minutes until smooth and slightly fluffy.

  2. 2

Add the egg yolks, sugar, and softened margarine. Beat for another 1 to 2 minutes until fully combined and creamy.

  3. 3

Gently fold in the powdered milk using a spatula, stirring in circular motions until the cream is smooth with no lumps.

  4. 4

Refrigerate the cream for 15 to 20 minutes to firm up slightly before using.

  5. 5

Spread the cream between the cake layers as filling, then coat the outside as frosting. For a fun finish, press chocolate candies on top and tuck a few inside the layers.

💡 Chef's Tip

For a firmer texture, add a little extra powdered milk. Try stirring in cocoa powder for a chocolate version or vanilla extract for a classic twist.
