🛒 Ingredients

10 servings

10
  • 10 chicken breast fillets
  • 10 slices of cooked ham
  • 10 slices of mozzarella or Swiss cheese
  • 10 thin slices of bacon
  • 3 tablespoons of mayonnaise
  • Dried oregano to taste
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper

Directions

  1. 1

Preheat the oven to 180 °C (350 °F). Lightly pound each fillet between two sheets of cling film to even thickness.

  2. 2

Spread mayonnaise over both sides of each fillet and season with salt and pepper.

  3. 3

Layer one slice of ham, one slice of cheese and one slice of bacon on top of each fillet.

  4. 4

Roll each fillet tightly and secure with a toothpick to keep the filling inside during cooking.

  5. 5

Arrange the rolls in a baking dish, sprinkle with dried oregano and bake for 35–40 minutes until golden and cooked through.

  6. 6

Rest for 5 minutes, remove toothpicks and serve with a fresh salad or roasted vegetables.

💡 Chef's Tip

Brush the rolls with melted butter before baking for extra golden colour. They can be assembled a day ahead and refrigerated until ready to cook.
