🛒 Ingredients

10 servings

10
  • 2 cups sugar (for caramel)
  • 3 cups whole milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons margarine
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 50 g grated cheese
  • 50 g shredded coconut

Directions

  1. 1

Melt 2 cups of sugar directly in the baking mold over medium heat without stirring, swirling gently until you get a smooth golden caramel. Set aside and allow to cool completely.

  2. 2

Add milk, eggs, margarine, sugar, and flour to a blender. Blend for 4 minutes until smooth and well combined.

  3. 3

Turn off the blender and fold in the shredded coconut and grated cheese gently with a spoon — do not blend again.

  4. 4

Pour the batter into the caramel-lined mold. Bake in a bain-marie in a preheated oven at 350 °F (180 °C) for 1 hour 30 minutes.

  5. 5

Allow to cool to room temperature, refrigerate for at least 2 hours, then carefully unmold onto a serving plate.

💡 Chef's Tip

Never stir the sugar while making the caramel — just swirl the mold slowly for an even coat. For the best silky texture, prepare the day before and serve cold.
