8
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups (400 g) granulated sugar
  • 1 cup (240 ml) whole milk
  • 2 cups (250 g) all-purpose flour, sifted
  • 4 tablespoons neutral vegetable oil
  • 6 tablespoons sweetened cocoa powder (e.g. Nesquik)
  • 1 tablespoon (11 g) baking powder

Directions

  1. 1

Preheat your oven to 350 °F (180 °C). Grease a bundt pan thoroughly with oil.

  2. 2

Add the eggs, sugar, and milk to a blender and mix for 30 seconds.

  3. 3

Add the flour and oil, then blend until the batter is completely smooth.

  4. 4

Add the baking powder and pulse for 10 seconds — do not over-blend.

  5. 5

Pour half the batter into the prepared bundt pan.

  6. 6

Add the cocoa powder to the remaining batter in the blender and mix briefly until fully combined.

  7. 7

Pour the chocolate batter on top of the plain batter in a circular motion around the pan to create the marble effect.

  8. 8

Bake for 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

  9. 9

Let the cake cool for 15 minutes before unmolding onto a wire rack.

💡 Chef's Tip

For a more dramatic marble pattern, drag a skewer through the batter before baking. Swap sweetened cocoa for unsweetened cocoa powder for a richer chocolate flavor — reduce the sugar by 3 tablespoons if you do.
