🛒 Ingredients

1 servings

1
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk (14 oz / 395 g)
  • 2 tablespoons margarine or unsalted butter
  • 6 tablespoons sweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 pinch of salt

Directions

  1. 1

Combine the sweetened condensed milk, margarine, and cocoa powder in a medium heavy-bottomed saucepan.

  2. 2

Stir all the ingredients together with a silicone spatula until fully combined and smooth.

  3. 3

Place over medium heat, stirring continuously to prevent the mixture from scorching on the bottom.

  4. 4

Keep stirring until the frosting begins to bubble and pull away from the sides of the pan.

  5. 5

Remove from heat immediately and pour the warm frosting over your cake for a glossy, even finish.

💡 Chef's Tip

Always pour the frosting while it's still hot — it firms up as it cools. For an extra-glossy finish, stir in a teaspoon of butter just before removing the pan from the heat.
