🛒 Ingredients

20 servings

20
  • 8 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 6 tablespoons margarine
  • 8 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 6 tablespoons water

Directions

  1. 1

Combine the cocoa powder, margarine, sugar, and water in a small saucepan over low heat.

  2. 2

Stir continuously until the mixture thickens and you can briefly see the bottom of the pan when you drag a spoon across it.

  3. 3

Remove from heat immediately and pour the hot glaze over your cake, spreading it gently to cover evenly.

  4. 4

Allow to set for a few minutes before slicing — the glaze will form a beautiful glossy coating as it cools.

💡 Chef's Tip

Work quickly once the glaze is done — it sets fast! For extra shine, stir in a small knob of butter just before pouring. One batch covers two standard-sized cakes.
