🛒 Ingredients

1 servings

1
  • 1 can (14 oz / 395 g) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1¾ cups (395 ml) whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 5 tablespoons sweetened chocolate powder or cocoa powder

Directions

  1. 1

Combine the condensed milk, whole milk, butter, and chocolate powder in a medium saucepan. Whisk together before placing over heat.

  2. 2

Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly with a spatula, until the mixture comes to a gentle boil.

  3. 3

Reduce the heat to low and keep stirring for 8–12 minutes until the glaze thickens to a smooth, pourable consistency.

  4. 4

Remove from heat, rest for 2 minutes, then pour generously over your cake while still warm.

  5. 5

Allow the glaze to set for a few minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy!

💡 Chef's Tip

For a deeper chocolate flavour, swap sweetened chocolate powder for unsweetened cocoa and add an extra tablespoon of sugar. Store leftover glaze in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days; gently reheat before using.
