🛒 Ingredients

8 servings

8
  • 1 cup (240 ml) whole milk
  • 1 cup (100 g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • ½ cup (100 g) granulated sugar

Directions

  1. 1

Combine the milk, cocoa powder, butter, and sugar in a medium heavy-bottomed saucepan.

  2. 2

Cook over low heat, stirring constantly with a whisk or wooden spoon, until the glaze thickens and coats the back of a spoon, about 8–10 minutes.

  3. 3

Remove from heat and immediately pour over your cake or dessert. For a thicker consistency, let it cool for a few minutes before applying.

💡 Chef's Tip

Use high-quality dark cocoa powder for a deeper, richer flavor. Leftover glaze keeps well in an airtight jar in the fridge for up to 5 days — gently reheat before using.
