🛒 Ingredients

1 servings

1
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 6 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • ½ tablespoon margarine
  • 1 cup (240 ml) whole milk

Directions

  1. 1

In a small saucepan, whisk the flour into the cold milk until fully dissolved with no lumps remaining.

  2. 2

Stir in the cocoa powder, sugar, and margarine until the mixture is smooth and well combined.

  3. 3

Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the glaze thickens and coats the back of a spoon, about 3 to 5 minutes.

  4. 4

Remove from heat immediately and pour over your dessert while still warm for a smooth, even finish.

💡 Chef's Tip

For an extra glossy glaze, stir in a small knob of butter just after removing from heat. If it gets too thick, loosen with a splash of warm milk. Best used warm — it sets firmer as it cools.
