🛒 Ingredients

4 servings

4
  • 2 cans sweetened condensed milk (about 800 g / 28 oz total)
  • 200 g (1½ cups) whole milk powder
  • 200 ml (¾ cup) heavy whipping cream
  • 150 g (⅔ cup) vegetable shortening or softened unsalted butter

Directions

  1. 1

In a large bowl, beat the softened shortening or butter with an electric mixer until light and fluffy.

  2. 2

Gradually pour in the sweetened condensed milk while continuing to mix until fully and evenly combined.

  3. 3

Sift in the whole milk powder to prevent lumps, then mix until the frosting is smooth and creamy.

  4. 4

Add the heavy cream and whip for a further 2–3 minutes until the frosting is airy, glossy, and spreadable.

  5. 5

Use immediately to frost your cake, or refrigerate for 30 minutes for a firmer, pipeable consistency.

💡 Chef's Tip

Make sure all ingredients are at room temperature for a silky-smooth result. A teaspoon of vanilla extract makes a wonderful addition.
