🛒 Ingredients

4 servings

4
  • 200 g vegetable shortening
  • 500 g powdered sugar, sifted
  • 120 ml full-fat coconut milk
  • 1 teaspoon flavoring extract (vanilla, almond, or rose)
  • White granulated sugar, as needed

Directions

  1. 1

Combine the vegetable shortening, powdered sugar, coconut milk, and flavoring extract in a stand mixer bowl.

  2. 2

Beat on medium speed for 4 to 5 minutes until the mixture is smooth, fluffy, and holds its shape — at this stage it's ready to pipe borders or frost a layer cake.

  3. 3

To achieve the marble texture, gradually knead in granulated sugar by hand until the dough no longer sticks to your fingers.

  4. 4

Apply small portions of frosting to the cake using the back of a spoon or an offset spatula, pressing and smoothing gently to build the marble veining effect.

💡 Chef's Tip

For a two-tone marble finish, split the frosting in half and tint one portion with cocoa powder or food coloring. Apply both alternately and blend the edges lightly.
