🛒 Ingredients

4 servings

4
  • 3 ripe bananas, peeled, sliced into rounds, and frozen
  • 1½ cups (about 200 g) frozen strawberries
  • 2 tablespoons powdered whole milk
  • ½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract (optional)

Directions

  1. 1

Peel and slice the bananas into 2 cm rounds. Place them in a freezer bag with the strawberries and freeze for at least 4 hours or overnight until completely solid.

  2. 2

Remove the frozen fruit from the freezer and let it sit at room temperature for 5 minutes to soften slightly — this protects your blender and makes mixing easier.

  3. 3

Add the frozen bananas, strawberries, powdered milk, and vanilla extract (if using) to a food processor or high-speed blender.

  4. 4

Blend on high, stopping to scrape down the sides as needed, until you reach a smooth, creamy, lump-free consistency.

  5. 5

Serve immediately for a soft-serve texture, or transfer to an airtight container and freeze for 30–60 minutes for firm, scoopable nice cream.

💡 Chef's Tip

The riper the bananas (look for dark-spotted ones), the sweeter and creamier the result. Keep a stash of sliced bananas in your freezer so you can whip this up anytime. Try swapping strawberries for raspberries, mango, or mixed berries for a new twist every time.
