🛒 Ingredients

2 servings

2
  • 200 g (1 heaped cup) whole milk powder
  • 200 g (1 cup) granulated sugar
  • 100 ml (½ cup) warm water
  • A pinch of salt (optional)

Directions

  1. 1

Warm the water slightly — it should be lukewarm, not boiling (around 30–35 °C / 85–95 °F), which helps the sugar dissolve smoothly.

  2. 2

Add the milk powder, sugar, and warm water to a blender. Blend on high speed for 2–3 minutes until the mixture is completely smooth and lump-free.

  3. 3

Taste and adjust sweetness if needed. Pour into a clean glass jar and seal tightly.

  4. 4

Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before using. The mixture thickens as it chills, reaching the classic condensed milk consistency.

💡 Chef's Tip

Keeps for up to 7 days in the fridge in a sealed jar. Use it in no-bake cheesecakes, fudge, key lime pie, or anywhere a recipe calls for canned condensed milk. For a richer result, use a high-fat whole milk powder.
