🛒 Ingredients

20 servings

20
  • 1 cup (200 g) granulated sugar
  • ½ cup (50 g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons (30 g) unsalted butter
  • 4 tablespoons (60 ml) whole milk

Directions

  1. 1

Combine the sugar, cocoa powder, butter, and milk in a small saucepan.

  2. 2

Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the butter has fully melted and the mixture is smooth.

  3. 3

Continue stirring for 1–2 minutes until the glaze thickens slightly and coats the back of a spoon.

  4. 4

Remove from heat and immediately pour or spread over cakes and desserts while still warm.

💡 Chef's Tip

Use the glaze right away — it thickens as it cools. For extra shine, stir in a teaspoon of honey or corn syrup just before removing from heat.
