🛒 Ingredients

4 servings

4
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk (14 oz / 395 g)
  • Juice of 3 lemons (about 6 tablespoons)
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • Pinch of fine salt

Directions

  1. 1

Wash the lemons well. Zest one of them using a fine grater, then squeeze all 3 lemons to extract the juice, removing any seeds.

  2. 2

Add the sweetened condensed milk, lemon juice, lemon zest, and salt to a blender. Blend for 30 seconds until completely smooth and combined.

  3. 3

Let the frosting rest for 2 minutes — it will naturally thicken as the lemon acid reacts with the milk. Pour over your cake and spread evenly with a spatula.

💡 Chef's Tip

For a thicker consistency, refrigerate for 15 minutes before using. Works beautifully on pound cake, cheesecake, or lemon cake. Swap lemon for lime for a tropical twist.
