🛒 Ingredients

1 servings

1
  • 1 can (14 oz / 397 g) sweetened condensed milk
  • Juice of 2 fresh limes
  • Zest of 1 lime, finely grated
  • 1 pinch of fine salt
  • Thin lime slices for garnish (optional)

Directions

  1. 1

Take the condensed milk out of the fridge 10 minutes before starting so it reaches room temperature and blends more smoothly.

  2. 2

Wash the limes thoroughly. Using a fine grater or zester, grate the zest of one lime, being careful to avoid the bitter white pith. Set aside.

  3. 3

Squeeze both limes and strain the juice through a sieve to remove any seeds.

  4. 4

In a bowl, combine the condensed milk, lime juice, and a pinch of salt. Whisk vigorously with a fork or hand whisk until the mixture thickens slightly and turns smooth and creamy.

  5. 5

Spread the glaze evenly over your fully cooled cake, sprinkle the lime zest on top, and finish with lime slices for a fresh, elegant presentation.

💡 Chef's Tip

Always glaze a completely cooled cake — a warm surface will cause the glaze to slide off. For a firmer set, refrigerate for 30 minutes after glazing before serving.
