🛒 Ingredients

1 servings

1
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk (14 oz / 397 g)
  • 3 cups powdered sugar (icing sugar), sifted
  • 3 cups whole milk powder
  • Gel food coloring (optional, any color)

Directions

  1. 1

In a large bowl, whisk together the sifted powdered sugar and whole milk powder until evenly combined with no lumps.

  2. 2

Make a well in the center and gradually pour in the sweetened condensed milk, stirring continuously with a spatula.

  3. 3

Knead the dough by hand for 3 to 5 minutes until it becomes smooth, soft, and no longer sticks to your hands.

  4. 4

To color the fondant, add a few drops of gel food coloring and knead until the color is fully uniform throughout.

  5. 5

Wrap tightly in plastic wrap and rest for 15 minutes before rolling out and using on your cakes.

💡 Chef's Tip

If the fondant is too sticky, knead in extra powdered sugar a little at a time. If too dry or crumbly, add a few drops of condensed milk. Store wrapped in plastic wrap in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. Let it sit at room temperature for 30 minutes before use.
