🛒 Ingredients

1 servings

1
  • 200 g (2 cups) full-fat powdered milk
  • 240 g (2 cups) powdered sugar (icing sugar with cornstarch), sifted
  • 1 can (14 oz / 395 g) sweetened condensed milk
  • Gel food coloring (optional)

Directions

  1. 1

In a large bowl, whisk together the powdered milk and sifted icing sugar until fully combined.

  2. 2

Gradually add the sweetened condensed milk, mixing with a spatula or your hands, until a smooth, pliable dough forms.

  3. 3

Knead the dough on a surface lightly dusted with powdered sugar for a couple of minutes until it is smooth and no longer sticky.

  4. 4

Roll out with a rolling pin and use it to cover cakes or cut into decorative shapes.

  5. 5

To color the fondant, knead in a few drops of gel food coloring until the tint is even and vibrant.

💡 Chef's Tip

Wrap unused fondant tightly in plastic wrap and store at room temperature for up to 3 days. If it dries out, microwave for 10 seconds and knead again until soft.
