🛒 Ingredients

10 servings

10
  • 1 liter whole milk
  • 2 cans sweetened condensed milk (about 800 g)
  • 1 can heavy cream (about 300 g)
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 package ladyfinger biscuits
  • 1 can peaches in syrup (about 800 g)
  • 3 tablespoons sugar

Directions

  1. 1

In a saucepan, whisk together the cornstarch, milk, condensed milk and egg yolk until completely smooth.

  2. 2

Place over medium heat and stir constantly until the cream thickens to a dense, porridge-like texture.

  3. 3

Line the bottom of a rectangular dish with the ladyfinger biscuits, pour the warm cream over them and let it rest for a few minutes.

  4. 4

Cut the peaches into medium cubes and scatter them over the rested cream.

  5. 5

In a bowl, whisk the sugar with the heavy cream, then pour it evenly over the top of the dessert.

  6. 6

Decorate with a few extra peach pieces for the finishing touch.

  7. 7

Refrigerate for at least 6 hours and serve well chilled.

💡 Chef's Tip

Drain the peaches well before using so the syrup doesn't make the biscuits too soggy. For a firmer cream, let it cool completely before assembling, and make the dessert the day before — it only gets better.
