🛒 Ingredients

10 servings

10
  • 2 cans (395 g) sweetened condensed milk
  • 6 egg yolks
  • 350 ml whole milk
  • 1 packet thin chocolate-coated biscuits
  • 200 g instant chocolate powder
  • 200 g heavy cream
  • 15 filled chocolate bonbons

Directions

  1. 1

In a saucepan, combine the condensed milk, egg yolks and whole milk.

  2. 2

Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until it just starts to simmer, then remove from the heat right away.

  3. 3

Pour the custard into a baking dish, slice the bonbons thinly and scatter them over the whole surface.

  4. 4

Blend the heavy cream with the biscuits and chocolate powder, adding the powder gradually, until completely smooth. Spread over the bonbons.

  5. 5

Chill for at least 4 hours. Just before serving, top with a layer of whipped cream for extra indulgence.

💡 Chef's Tip

The pavé tastes even better after a night in the fridge, so make it the day before. For a finer custard, pass it through a sieve before pouring it into the dish. Swap the bonbons for chocolate chips or chopped nuts if you like.
