🛒 Ingredients

1 servings

1
  • ½ cup (125 ml) popcorn kernels
  • 1 empty paper bag (lunch bag or bread bag)
  • Fine salt, to taste
  • Seasoning of choice: smoked paprika, garlic powder, or cinnamon

Directions

  1. 1

Pour the popcorn kernels into the paper bag and fold the opening down 2–3 times to seal it firmly.

  2. 2

Stand the bag upright in the center of the microwave and cook on high power for 2 to 3 minutes, stopping as soon as pops slow to about 2 seconds apart.

  3. 3

Carefully open the bag away from your face (steam inside!) and pour the popcorn into a large bowl.

  4. 4

Season immediately with salt and your favorite spices, then toss well to coat every piece evenly.

💡 Chef's Tip

Every microwave is different — start checking at 2 minutes to avoid burning. For a sweet twist, skip the salt and dust warm popcorn with powdered sugar and a pinch of cinnamon.
