🛒 Ingredients

2 servings

2
  • 400 g chicken pieces (wings or drumettes)
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Directions

  1. 1

Season the chicken pieces with salt, pepper, smoked paprika and garlic powder. Let rest for 10 minutes so the spices absorb well.

  2. 2

Coat each piece evenly in cornstarch, shaking off any excess, then brush lightly with olive oil to promote browning.

  3. 3

Preheat your air fryer to 200 °C (390 °F) for 3 minutes. Arrange the chicken in a single layer in the basket without overlapping.

  4. 4

Cook for 25–30 minutes until deeply golden and crispy, flipping the pieces halfway through cooking.

  5. 5

Check that the internal temperature has reached 75 °C (165 °F). Serve immediately with a herb yogurt dip or a crisp green salad.

💡 Chef's Tip

Always cook in a single layer for maximum crispiness — overcrowding steams the chicken instead of crisping it. Swap cornstarch for rice flour for an even lighter, more delicate crust.
