🛒 Ingredients

20 servings

20
  • 500 g roasted and shelled peanuts
  • 500 g granulated sugar
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk (395 g)
  • 3 tablespoons margarine or unsalted butter

Directions

  1. 1

Combine the peanuts, sugar, and margarine in a heavy-bottomed saucepan over medium heat.

  2. 2

Stir continuously as the sugar begins to melt, making sure nothing sticks to the bottom.

  3. 3

Once a light syrup forms, pour in the sweetened condensed milk and stir vigorously.

  4. 4

Keep stirring until the mixture thickens and pulls away cleanly from the sides of the pan, similar to fudge.

  5. 5

Pour onto a greased baking tray and smooth into an even layer with a spatula.

  6. 6

Allow to cool fully at room temperature, then cut into bite-sized pieces and serve.

💡 Chef's Tip

Use freshly roasted peanuts for the best flavour. A sprinkle of flaky sea salt on top before it sets creates an irresistible sweet-salty contrast.
