🛒 Ingredients

1 servings

1
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk (14 oz / 395 g)
  • 1 ½ tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 ¾ cups (200 g) sweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ cup (120 ml) whole milk
  • 1 pinch of fine salt

Directions

  1. 1

In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the butter, then pour in the sweetened condensed milk, stirring gently to combine.

  2. 2

Add the cocoa powder and whole milk to a blender and blend on high until completely smooth with no lumps.

  3. 3

Slowly pour the cocoa mixture into the saucepan with the condensed milk, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon.

  4. 4

Cook over low heat for 8–10 minutes, stirring continuously, until the sauce thickens and coats the back of a spoon.

  5. 5

Stir in the pinch of salt, remove from heat, and serve warm or let cool before storing in a sealed jar.

💡 Chef's Tip

For a richer, less sweet version, swap 30 g of sweetened cocoa for unsweetened cocoa powder. Store in the fridge for up to 5 days and gently reheat in a bain-marie to restore its silky texture.
