🛒 Ingredients

50 servings

50
  • 1 can (14 oz / 397 g) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup (100 g) unsweetened desiccated coconut
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 50 drops strawberry extract (or your preferred flavor)
  • 20 drops pink or red food coloring (adjust to desired shade)
  • 200 g colored sugar (red, pink, or your choice)

Directions

  1. 1

In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, combine the condensed milk, desiccated coconut, butter, strawberry extract, and food coloring. Stir to combine.

  2. 2

Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon until the mixture pulls cleanly away from the sides and forms a thick, fudgy dough (15–20 minutes).

  3. 3

Transfer to a lightly buttered dish and let cool completely at room temperature for about 30 minutes.

  4. 4

Lightly butter your hands to prevent sticking. Scoop small equal portions with a dessert spoon and shape each into a small elongated oval.

  5. 5

Roll each truffle in colored sugar to coat evenly and place on a parchment-lined tray.

  6. 6

Optionally, press a clove into the top and add a tiny mint leaf for a festive finishing touch.

💡 Chef's Tip

Stir continuously during cooking to prevent burning. The mixture is ready when it pulls cleanly away from the pan sides. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
