🛒 Ingredients

40 servings

40
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 7 tbsp (100 g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup (150 g) chocolate chips
  • 7 oz (200 g) milk or dark chocolate, for the shell

Directions

  1. 1

In a large bowl, combine the granulated sugar and brown sugar with the melted butter, mixing until smooth and well combined.

  2. 2

Add the egg and vanilla extract, stirring until fully incorporated.

  3. 3

Mix in the flour and baking soda, working the dough until smooth and uniform.

  4. 4

Fold in the chocolate chips. Cover and chill the dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

  5. 5

Preheat oven to 350 °F (180 °C). Scoop out portions of dough and roll into small, even balls.

  6. 6

Press each ball into a cavity of a silicone half-sphere baking mold, shaping gently with your fingers as needed.

  7. 7

Bake for about 15 minutes, until the tops are lightly golden. Unmold and allow to cool completely.

  8. 8

Melt the coating chocolate in 30-second microwave intervals, stirring between each, or use a double boiler until silky smooth.

  9. 9

Pour melted chocolate into the cavities of the clean, dry silicone mold, stopping just below the rim.

  10. 10

Carefully nestle a cookie ball into each chocolate-filled cavity. Refrigerate for 10 minutes until the shell is firm, then unmold and enjoy!

💡 Chef's Tip

High-quality chocolate makes all the difference for a satisfying snap. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days — if they last that long!
