🛒 Ingredients

1 servings

1
  • 1 can (7 fl oz / 200 ml) heavy cream
  • 1 can (14 oz / 395 g) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 7 tablespoons Nesquik or 4 tablespoons sweetened cocoa powder
  • Chocolate sprinkles for decoration

Directions

  1. 1

Combine all ingredients — heavy cream, condensed milk, butter, and cocoa powder — in a medium heavy-bottomed saucepan.

  2. 2

Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon to prevent the mixture from sticking or burning.

  3. 3

Keep stirring for 10–15 minutes until the mixture thickens noticeably and starts pulling away from the sides of the pan.

  4. 4

Remove from heat, let it cool slightly, then spread generously over your cake and finish with chocolate sprinkles.

💡 Chef's Tip

Spread the brigadeiro while it's still warm for a smooth, even, glossy finish. For a deeper chocolate flavour, swap Nesquik for unsweetened cocoa powder and stir in 2 tablespoons of sugar.
