Directions
- 1
Soak the chicken cubes in cold water with the juice of one lemon for 2 minutes to remove any odor. Rinse well and drain.
- 2
Marinate the chicken with the juice of the second lemon, minced garlic, paprika, dried herbs, hot sauce, and salt. Refrigerate for 20 minutes.
- 3
Soak wooden skewers in water for 10 minutes to prevent burning.
- 4
Thread the chicken pieces onto the skewers, leaving a small gap between each cube for even cooking.
- 5
Mix flour and breadcrumbs in a shallow dish. Dip each skewer in the beaten eggs, then coat thoroughly in the flour-breadcrumb mixture, pressing firmly to adhere.
- 6
Fry in hot oil (around 170 °C / 340 °F) until golden brown and cooked through, about 8–10 minutes.
- 7
Drain on paper towels and serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.
💡 Chef's Tip
For an extra-crispy coating, double-dip in egg and breadcrumbs. You can also bake them at 200 °C (390 °F) for 25 minutes, turning halfway through, for a lighter version.
