🛒 Ingredients

30 servings

30
  • 1 kg roasted skinless peanuts
  • 1¾ cups granulated sugar
  • 2 cups unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ cup whole milk (adjust as needed)
  • ½ cup coarse or crystal sugar, for coating
  • 30 whole roasted peanuts, for decoration

Directions

  1. 1

Process the roasted peanuts in a food processor until you get a fine, even powder.

  2. 2

Combine the peanut powder, granulated sugar, and cocoa powder in a large bowl and mix well.

  3. 3

Add milk little by little, kneading with your hands, until the mixture forms a smooth, pliable dough that holds its shape.

  4. 4

Pinch off small portions and roll them into cashew shapes by curving each piece slightly with your thumb.

  5. 5

Roll each piece in coarse sugar until fully coated.

  6. 6

Place on a tray, press one whole peanut onto the top of each sweet, and refrigerate for 30 minutes before serving.

💡 Chef's Tip

The dough should feel like firm marzipan. Too dry? Add a few drops of milk. Too sticky? Mix in a little more cocoa powder. Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days at room temperature.
