🛒 Ingredients

30 servings

30
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk (14 oz / 395 g)
  • 8 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 package shortbread or butter cookies (about 200 g)

Directions

  1. 1

Break the cookies into small irregular chunks using a knife or by crushing them inside a zip-lock bag. Set aside.

  2. 2

In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the condensed milk, butter, and cocoa powder. Stir constantly to prevent sticking.

  3. 3

Cook, stirring, until the mixture thickens and starts pulling away from the sides of the pan, about 8–10 minutes.

  4. 4

Remove from heat and immediately fold in the crushed cookies, mixing until a uniform dough forms.

  5. 5

Lightly butter a flat surface or line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Pour the mixture out and press it flat with your palms to about ½ inch (1.5 cm) thick.

  6. 6

Let cool at room temperature for 30 minutes, then slice into small squares and serve.

💡 Chef's Tip

Roll the squares in cocoa powder or powdered sugar for a prettier finish. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
