Salade Niçoise
A classic protein-rich Mediterranean salad featuring lettuce, fresh vegetables, tuna, hard-boiled eggs, anchovies, and Niçoise olives. Perfect for a light and healthy meal.

- 1 head lettuce
- 3 tomatoes
- 1 cucumber
- 1 green bell pepper
- 1 can tuna in oil
- 4 hard-boiled eggs
- 8-12 anchovy fillets
- 5.3 oz Niçoise olives
- 2-3 green onions
- 1 handful fresh basil
- 3.5 tbsp olive oil
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste

Cut the fresh vegetables (lettuce into pieces, tomatoes into wedges, cucumber into rounds, bell pepper into strips)

Arrange the lettuce on a platter and add all the cut vegetables

Add the flaked tuna, quartered hard-boiled eggs, anchovies, and Niçoise olives

Sprinkle with chopped fresh basil and sliced green onions

Drizzle generously with olive oil, then season with salt and pepper

💡 Chef's Tip
Serve immediately after preparation. Vinegar is not included in the pure Niçoise tradition, but you may add it optionally. Prepare the ingredients in advance and assemble just before eating.
