🛒 Ingredients

5 servings

5
  • 2.2 lbs (1 kg) beef ribs, cut into pieces
  • 2 to 3 medium onions
  • 2 to 3 medium potatoes
  • 3 beef bouillon cubes
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 bay leaf

Directions

  1. 1

Peel and quarter the onions. Arrange them in an even layer on the bottom of the pressure cooker.

  2. 2

Place the beef rib pieces on top of the onion bed. Crumble 2 bouillon cubes over the meat.

  3. 3

Peel the potatoes, cut into quarters, and layer them on top of the ribs. Crumble the third bouillon cube over the potatoes and add the bay leaf.

  4. 4

Seal the pressure cooker lid. Cook over high heat until the valve begins to whistle and release steam.

  5. 5

Reduce to the lowest heat and cook for 40 minutes. Allow pressure to release naturally before opening. Serve hot.

💡 Chef's Tip

For extra depth of flavor, sear the ribs in a little oil before adding them to the pressure cooker. A carrot or two will naturally sweeten and enrich the broth.
