🛒 Ingredients

8 servings

8
  • 500 ml whole milk
  • 1 can (395 g) sweetened condensed milk
  • 200 ml heavy cream
  • 5 tablespoons whole milk powder
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 500 g fresh strawberries
  • ½ cup (100 g) granulated sugar
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • Sliced fresh strawberries to garnish (optional)

Directions

  1. 1

In a cold saucepan off the heat, whisk together the milk, condensed milk, heavy cream, milk powder, and cornstarch until fully combined and smooth.

  2. 2

Cook over low heat, stirring constantly with a spatula. Once the mixture comes to a boil, continue stirring for 2 more minutes, then remove from heat.

  3. 3

Pour the cream into a large serving dish, smooth the surface with a spatula, press plastic wrap directly onto the surface and refrigerate for at least 2 hours until firmly set.

  4. 4

Hull and rinse the strawberries, then place them in a saucepan with the sugar and lemon juice. Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally.

  5. 5

Mash the strawberries with a fork as they cook if you prefer a smoother jam. Simmer until thickened, remove from heat and let cool completely in the refrigerator.

  6. 6

Remove the plastic wrap from the chilled cream, pour the cooled strawberry jam over the top and spread evenly with a spatula.

  7. 7

Garnish with sliced fresh strawberries if desired and keep refrigerated until ready to serve.

💡 Chef's Tip

Make this dessert the day before for best results — the cream sets firmer and the flavors meld beautifully. You can swap strawberries for raspberries or any seasonal fruit.
