🛒 Ingredients

4 servings

4
  • 400 g chicken breast fillets (4 pieces)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1–2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 cup (240 ml) fine breadcrumbs
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

Directions

  1. 1

Season the chicken fillets with salt, crushed garlic, and lemon juice. Let rest for 10 minutes to absorb the flavors.

  2. 2

Lightly beat the egg white with a fork until frothy. Dip each fillet into the egg white, then coat thoroughly with breadcrumbs, pressing gently so they stick.

  3. 3

Lightly brush a baking dish with oil. Arrange the coated fillets in a single layer.

  4. 4

Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C (350 °F) for 20 minutes. Flip each fillet and bake for an additional 10 minutes until golden and cooked through.

  5. 5

Serve immediately with steamed rice and a fresh green salad.

💡 Chef's Tip

For extra crunch, mix a tablespoon of grated Parmesan or a pinch of smoked paprika into the breadcrumbs. Panko breadcrumbs are a great substitute for an even crispier coating.
