🛒 Ingredients

10 servings

10
  • 1 kg (2.2 lb) chicken fillets
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp sweet paprika
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 3 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 200 ml (¾ cup) heavy cream
  • 3 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Directions

  1. 1

Preheat your oven to 180 °C (350 °F). Season the chicken fillets with salt, pepper, oregano and paprika. Let them rest for 15 minutes.

  2. 2

Make the sauce: whisk together the heavy cream, Dijon mustard, crushed garlic, chopped onion and parsley in a bowl. Adjust seasoning to taste.

  3. 3

Lightly grease a baking dish with olive oil, lay the chicken fillets in a single layer and pour the mustard sauce evenly over them.

  4. 4

Cover tightly with aluminium foil and bake for 15 minutes.

  5. 5

Remove the foil and continue baking for another 20 minutes, until the chicken is golden and cooked through.

  6. 6

Serve hot with steamed rice or roasted vegetables.

💡 Chef's Tip

Stir a teaspoon of whole-grain mustard into the sauce before baking for extra texture and depth. Leftovers reheat beautifully the next day — the sauce thickens and the flavor deepens.
