🛒 Ingredients

6 servings

6
  • 500 g (1.1 lb) chicken breast fillets
  • 3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons liquid honey
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 teaspoon sweet paprika
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, to garnish
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Directions

  1. 1

Rinse the chicken fillets under cold water and pat them completely dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

In a bowl, whisk together the mustard, honey, olive oil, minced garlic, paprika, salt and pepper until you have a smooth, even glaze.

  3. 3

Coat the fillets generously with the honey mustard mixture and let them rest for 5–10 minutes so the flavors can penetrate.

  4. 4

Heat a splash of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the fillets 4–5 minutes per side until deep golden brown and cooked through.

  5. 5

Scatter with freshly chopped parsley and serve at once alongside steamed rice or roasted vegetables.

💡 Chef's Tip

For extra depth, stir a teaspoon of wholegrain mustard and a squeeze of lemon juice into the glaze before coating. You can also bake the fillets at 200 °C (400 °F) for 20 minutes for a lighter, hands-off version.
