🛒 Ingredients

4 servings

4
  • 1 chicken breast, sliced into 4 thin fillets
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 teaspoon meat tenderizer powder
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • Salt to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Directions

  1. 1

Place the chicken fillets on a flat surface and coat both sides with lemon juice, mustard, meat tenderizer, salt, and pepper.

  2. 2

Transfer to a dish, cover, and refrigerate for 20 minutes to marinate.

  3. 3

Melt the butter in a non-stick skillet over medium heat and cook the fillets for about 5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.

  4. 4

Spoon a tablespoon of the leftover marinade into the pan during the last minute of cooking to create a light pan sauce.

  5. 5

Serve immediately with fresh parsley and a wedge of lemon.

💡 Chef's Tip

For extra depth, add a crushed garlic clove or a pinch of smoked paprika to the marinade. Swap butter for olive oil to keep it dairy-free.
