🛒 Ingredients

10 servings

10
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 can (14 oz / 397 g) sweetened condensed milk
  • 397 ml (1 can measure) whole milk
  • 3 tablespoons sugar

Directions

  1. 1

    Preheat the oven to 300 °F (150 °C) for 10 minutes.

  2. 2

In a blender, combine the eggs, condensed milk, and whole milk. Blend for 3 minutes until completely smooth.

  3. 3

Make the caramel: heat the sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat without stirring until it turns golden amber. Let cool for 2–3 minutes.

  4. 4

Pour the caramel into a bundt or tube pan, tilting to coat the bottom evenly.

  5. 5

Gently pour the condensed milk mixture over the caramel.

  6. 6

Bake for about 40 minutes — no water bath needed — until the top is lightly golden and the custard is set.

  7. 7

Cool completely at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.

  8. 8

To unmold, run a knife around the edges and invert onto a serving plate.

💡 Chef's Tip

Don't stir the caramel while it cooks — a gentle swirl of the pan is enough. The flan firms up as it cools, so don't worry if it jiggles slightly fresh out of the oven.
