🛒 Ingredients

15 servings

15
  • 1 can (14 oz / 397 g) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1¾ cups whole milk (same volume as the can)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt

Directions

  1. 1

Preheat the oven to 350 °F (180 °C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round or rectangular cake pan.

  2. 2

Add the condensed milk, whole milk, eggs, and softened butter to a blender. Blend for 30 seconds until smooth.

  3. 3

Add the sugar, flour, baking powder, and salt. Blend for 1 more minute until you have a lump-free batter.

  4. 4

Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 40–45 minutes, until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

  5. 5

Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack and cool completely before slicing.

💡 Chef's Tip

For an extra-moist crumb, swap half the milk for heavy cream or sour cream. A teaspoon of vanilla extract or lemon zest stirred in before baking adds a lovely aromatic depth.
