🛒 Ingredients

6 servings

6
  • 2 packets strawberry-flavored gelatin (about 6 oz total)
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1½ cups whole milk, divided
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1½ cups fresh strawberries, hulled and halved

Directions

  1. 1

Prepare strawberry gelatin according to package directions. Set aside to cool to lukewarm without setting.

  2. 2

In a saucepan over low heat, combine condensed milk, heavy cream, and 1 cup of the milk. Stir constantly and do not let it boil.

  3. 3

Whisk cornstarch into the remaining ½ cup milk until smooth, then slowly pour into the warm cream mixture while stirring continuously.

  4. 4

Keep stirring over low heat until the cream thickens enough to coat the back of a spoon. Remove from heat and let cool completely.

  5. 5

Spread the cooled cream evenly in a glass dish, then arrange strawberry halves cut-side up across the entire surface.

  6. 6

Spoon the lukewarm gelatin gently over the strawberries to avoid displacing them, then refrigerate for at least 3 hours until fully set.

💡 Chef's Tip

Make this dessert the night before for best results — the layers firm up beautifully overnight. You can swap strawberries for raspberries or mixed berries for a delicious twist.
